It is sometimes suggested that the phrase is a racial slur and is intended to convey the idea that the Chinese talk nonsense. I see no reason to assume that. Thanksgiving Rumours - Use phrases related to Thanskgiving, such as 'Harvest feasts and plentiful pantries are indicative of faithful Thanksgiving' or 'Thank the Almighty for His bounteous blessings through joyous reunions and festal dinners'.
